کتاب قصر الصلوة فی السفر

عَنْ أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيُّ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ کَيْفَ نُصَلِّي عَلَيْکَ فَقَالَ قُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَزْوَاجِهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ کَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَی آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَبَارِکْ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَزْوَاجِهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ کَمَا بَارَکْتَ عَلَی آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّکَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

ابو حمید ساعدی سے روایت ہے کہ صحابہ نے پوچھا آپ ﷺ سے یا رسول اللہ ﷺ کیونکر درود بھیجیں آپ ﷺ پر تو فرمایا آپ ﷺ نے کہو اے پروردگار رحمت اتار اپنی محمد اور ان کی بیبیوں اور آل پر جیسے رحمت کی تو نے ابراہیم پر اور برکت اتار محمد اور ان کی بیبیوں پر اور آل پر جیسے تو نے برکت اتاری ابراہیم کی اولاد پر بیشک تو تعریف کے لائق اور بڑا ہے۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Hazim from his father that Amr ibn Sulaym az-Zuraqi said, "Abu Humayd as-Saidi told me that they asked the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, how they were to ask for blessings upon him and he replied that they should say, O Allah, bless Muhammad and his wives and his descendants asYou blessed the family of Ibrahim, and give baraka to Muhammad and his wives and his descendants as You gave baraka to the family of Ibrahim. You are worthy of Praise and Glorious." Allahumma salli ala Muhammad wa azwajihi wa alihi kama sallaita ala ali Ibrahim, wa barakaala Muhammad wa azwajihi wa alihi kama baraktaalaali Ibrahim, innaka Hamidum - Majid.

عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَجْلِسِ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ فَقَالَ لَهُ بَشِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ أَمَرَنَا اللَّهُ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْکَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَکَيْفَ نُصَلِّي عَلَيْکَ قَالَ فَسَکَتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّی تَمَنَّيْنَا أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَسْأَلْهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ قُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَی آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ کَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَی إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَبَارِکْ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَی آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ کَمَا بَارَکْتَ عَلَی آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي الْعَالَمِينَ إِنَّکَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ وَالسَّلَامُ کَمَا قَدْ عَلِمْتُمْ

ابو مسعود انصاری سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ آئے ہمارے پاس سعد بن عبادہ کے مکان میں تو کہا آپ ﷺ سے بشیر بن سعد نے حکم کیا ہم کو اللہ جل جلالہ نے درود بھیجنے کا آپ ﷺ پر تو کیوں کر درود بھیجیں آپ ﷺ پر پس چپ ہو رہے آپ ﷺ یہاں تک کہ ہم کو تمنا ہوئی کہ کاش نہ پوچھتے آپ ﷺ سے پھر فرمایا آپ ﷺ نے کہو اللہم صلی علی محمد وعلی آل محمد کما صلیت علی ابراہیم فی العالمین انک حمید مجید اور سلام بھیجنے کی ترکیب جیسے تم جان چکے ہو۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nuaym ibn Abdullah al-Mujmirthat Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Zayd told him that Abu Masud al Ansari said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came to us at the gathering of Sad ibn Ubadah. Bashir ibn Sad said to him, Allah has ordered us to ask for blessings on you, Messenger of Allah. How should we do it? The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, remained silent until we wished we had not asked him. Then he told us to say, O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You blessed Ibrahim, and give baraka to Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You gave baraka to the family of Ibrahim. In all the worlds You are worthy of Praise and Glorious, and then give the taslim as you have learnt." Allahumma salli ala Muhammad wa ali Muhammad kama sallaita Ibrahim, wa baraka ala Muhammad wa ali Muhammad kama baraktaala ali Ibrahim. Fil alamin, innaka Hamidum - Majid.

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقِفُ عَلَی قَبْرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَيُصَلِّي عَلَی النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَی أَبِي بَکْرٍ وَعُمَرَ

عبداللہ بن دینار سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے دیکھا عبداللہ بن عمر کو کھڑے ہوتے تھے نبی ﷺ کی قبر پر درود بھیجتے تھے آپ ﷺ پر اور ابوبکر اور عمر پر۔

Yahya related to me from Malik that Abdullah ibn Dinar said, "I saw Abdullah ibn Umar stop by the grave of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and ask for blessings on the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and on Abu Bakr (RA) and Umar."

عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ رَکْعَتَيْنِ وَبَعْدَهَا رَکْعَتَيْنِ وَبَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ رَکْعَتَيْنِ فِي بَيْتِهِ وَبَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الْعِشَائِ رَکْعَتَيْنِ وَکَانَ لَا يُصَلِّي بَعْدَ الْجُمُعَةِ حَتَّی يَنْصَرِفَ فَيَرْکَعَ رَکْعَتَيْنِ

ابن عمر سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ پڑھتے تھے ظہر کی اول دو رکعتیں اور بعد ظہر کے دو رکعتیں اور بعد مغرب کے دو رکعتیں اپنے گھر میں اور بعد عشا کے دو رکعتیں اور نہیں پڑھتے تھے بعد جمعہ کے مسجد میں یہاں تک کہ گھر میں آتے تو دو رکعتیں پڑھتے۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Ibn Umar (RA) that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to pray two rakas before dhuhr and two rakas after it, two rakas after maghrib, in his house, and two rakas after isha. He did not pray after jumua until he had left, and then he prayed two rakas.

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَتَرَوْنَ قِبْلَتِي هَاهُنَا فَوَاللَّهِ مَا يَخْفَی عَلَيَّ خُشُوعُکُمْ وَلَا رُکُوعُکُمْ إِنِّي لَأَرَاکُمْ مِنْ وَرَائِ ظَهْرِي

ابوہریرہ ؓ روایت ہے کہ فرمایا رسول اللہ ﷺ نے تم دیکھتے ہو میرا منہ قبلہ کی طرف قسم اللہ کی مجھ سے چھپا نہیں ہے خشوع تمہارا نماز میں اور رکوع تمہارا میں دیکھتا ہوں تم کو پیٹھ کے پیچھے سے۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abuz Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Do you see the direction I am facing here? By Allah, neither your concentration nor your ruku is hidden from me. I can see you behind my back."

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ يَأْتِي قُبَائَ رَاکِبًا وَمَاشِيًا

عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ آتے تھے قبا میں سوار ہو کر اور پیدل۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi from Abdullah ibn Umar that when the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to go to Quba (to pray), he would walk as well as ride.

عَنْ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا تَرَوْنَ فِي الشَّارِبِ وَالسَّارِقِ وَالزَّانِي وَذَلِکَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُنْزَلَ فِيهِمْ قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ هُنَّ فَوَاحِشُ وَفِيهِنَّ عُقُوبَةٌ وَأَسْوَأُ السَّرِقَةِ الَّذِي يَسْرِقُ صَلَاتَهُ قَالُوا وَکَيْفَ يَسْرِقُ صَلَاتَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ لَا يُتِمُّ رُکُوعَهَا وَلَا سُجُودَهَا

نعمان بن مرہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا کیا رائے ہے تمہاری اس شخص میں جو شراب پئے اور چوری کرے اور زنا کرے اور تھا یہ امر قبل اترنے حکم کے ان کے باب میں تو کہا صحابہ نے اللہ اور اس کا رسول خوب جانتا ہے فرمایا آپ ﷺ نے یہ برے کام ہیں ان میں سزا ضرور ہے اور سب چوریوں میں بری نماز کی چوری ہے پوچھا صحابہ نے نماز کا چور کیونکر ہے فرمایا آپ ﷺ نے نماز کا چور وہ ہے جو رکوع اور سجدہ کو پورا نہ کرے۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said from an-Numan ibn Murra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,"What about drunkenness, stealing and adultery? "That was before anything had been revealed about them. They said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "They are excesses and in them is a punishment. And the worst of thieves is the one who steals his prayer." They said, "How does he steal his prayer, Messenger of Allah? ﷺ " He replied, "He does not do ruku or sajda properly."

عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اجْعَلُوا مِنْ صَلَاتِکُمْ فِي بُيُوتِکُمْ

عروہ بن زبیر سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا کچھ ایک حصہ اپنی نماز میں سے اپنے گھروں میں ادا کرو۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Do some of the prayers in your houses."

عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ کَانَ يَقُولُ إِذَا لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ الْمَرِيضُ السُّجُودَ أَوْمَأَ بِرَأْسِهِ إِيمَائً وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْ إِلَی جَبْهَتِهِ شَيْئًا

نافع سے روایت ہے کہ عبداللہ بن عمر کہتے تھے بیمار کو اگر سجدہ کرنے کی طاقت نہ ہو تو سر سے اشارہ کرے لیکن کوئی چیز اپنی پیشانی کے سامنے اونچی نہ رکھے۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, "When a sick man is unable to prostrate he should motion with his head, and not raise anything to his forehead."

عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ کَانَ إِذَا جَائَ الْمَسْجِدَ وَقَدْ صَلَّی النَّاسُ بَدَأَ بِصَلَاةِ الْمَکْتُوبَةِ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ قَبْلَهَا شَيْئًا

ربیعہ بن عبدالرحمن ؓ روایت ہے کہ عبداللہ بن عمر جب آتے مسجد میں اور معلوم ہوتا کہ جماعت ہوچکی ہے تو فرض شروع کرتے اور سنتیں نہ پڑھتے۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Rabia ibn Abi Abd ar-Rahman that if Abdullah ibn Umar arrived at the mosque and the people had already prayed, he would begin with the obligatory prayer and not pray anything before it.

عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ مَرَّ عَلَی رَجُلٍ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِ فَرَدَّ الرَّجُلُ کَلَامًا فَرَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ لَهُ إِذَا سُلِّمَ عَلَی أَحَدِکُمْ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي فَلَا يَتَکَلَّمْ وَلْيُشِرْ بِيَدِهِ

نافع سے روایت ہے کہ عبداللہ بن عمر گزرے ایک شخص پر اور وہ نماز پڑھ رہے تھے تو سلام کیا اس کو اس نے جواب دیا زبان سے پھر لوٹے عبداللہ بن عمر اور کہا اس سے جب کوئی سلام کرے تم پر تم نماز پڑھتے ہو تو زبان سے جواب نہ دو بلکہ ہاتھ سے اشارہ کردو۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar passed by a man who was praying and said, "Peace be upon you," and the man replied to him. Abdullah ibn Umar returned to him and said, "When someone says, Peace be upon you to you while you are praying do not reply, but give a signal with your hand."

عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ کَانَ يَقُولُ مَنْ نَسِيَ صَلَاةً فَلَمْ يَذْکُرْهَا إِلَّا وَهُوَ مَعَ الْإِمَامِ فَإِذَا سَلَّمَ الْإِمَامُ فَلْيُصَلِّ الصَّلَاةَ الَّتِي نَسِيَ ثُمَّ لِيُصَلِّ بَعْدَهَا الْأُخْرَی

نافع سے روایت ہے کہ عبداللہ بن عمر کہتے تھے جو شخص بھول جائے نماز کو پھر یاد کرے اور وہ دوسری نماز میں امام کے پیچھے ہو تو جب امام سلام پھیرے تو چاہئے کہ اس نماز کو پڑھ کر جو نماز امام کے ساتھ پڑھی ہے اس کا اعادہ کرے۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say, "Someone who only remembers that he has forgotten a prayer when he is praying the next prayer behind an imam, should pray the prayer he has forgotten after the imam has said the taslim, and then pray the other one again."

عَنْ وَاسِعِ بْنِ حَبَّانَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ کُنْتُ أُصَلِّي وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ مُسْنِدٌ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَی جِدَارِ الْقِبْلَةِ فَلَمَّا قَضَيْتُ صَلَاتِي انْصَرَفْتُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ قِبَلِ شِقِّي الْأَيْسَرِ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ مَا مَنَعَکَ أَنْ تَنْصَرِفَ عَنْ يَمِينِکَ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ رَأَيْتُکَ فَانْصَرَفْتُ إِلَيْکَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّکَ قَدْ أَصَبْتَ إِنَّ قَائِلًا يَقُولُ انْصَرِفْ عَنْ يَمِينِکَ فَإِذَا کُنْتَ تُصَلِّي فَانْصَرِفْ حَيْثُ شِئْتَ إِنْ شِئْتَ عَنْ يَمِينِکَ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ عَنْ يَسَارِکَ

واسع بن حبان سے روایت ہے کہ میں نماز پڑھ رہا تھا اور عبداللہ بن عمر قبلہ کی طرف پیٹھ کئے ہوئے بیٹھے تھے تو جب نماز سے فارغ ہوا بائیں طرف سے مڑ کر ان کے پاس گیا تو عبداللہ بن عمر نے کہا تو داہنی طرف سے مڑ کر کیوں نہ آیا میں نے کہا کہ آپ کو دیکھ کر بائیں طرف سے مڑ کر چلا آیا عبداللہ نے کہا تو نے اچھا کیا ایک صاحب کہتے ہیں کہ جب نماز پڑھ چکے تو داہنی طرف سے مڑ مگر تو جب نماز پڑھے تو جدھر سے چاہے مڑ کر جا داہنی طرف سے یا بائیں طرف سے۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban that his paternal uncle Wasi ibn Habban said, "I was praying, and Abdullah ibn Umar was resting his back on the wall of the qibla. When I had finished the prayer I turned towards him on my left hand side. Abdullah ibn Umar said, What stopped you from turning away to your right? I replied, I saw you and turned towards you. Abdullah said, You have spoken correctly. People say that you should turn away to your right, but when you pray, you can turn whichever way you wish. If you like, to your right, and if you like, to your left. "

عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ لَمْ يَرَ بِهِ بَأْسًا أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ أَأُصَلِّي فِي عَطَنِ الْإِبِلِ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ لَا وَلَکِنْ صَلِّ فِي مُرَاحِ الْغَنَمِ

عبداللہ بن عمر بن العاص سے ایک شخص نے پوچھا کیا نماز پڑھوں میں اونٹوں کے بیٹھنے کی جگہ میں نے کہا نہیں لیکن پڑھ لے بکری کے تھانوں میں۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that one of the muhajirun in whom he saw no harm asked Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As, "Can I pray in a place where camels are watered?" Abdullah replied, "No, but you can pray in a sheep-pen."

عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَا صَلَاةٌ يُجْلَسُ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَةٍ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ سَعِيدٌ هِيَ الْمَغْرِبُ إِذَا فَاتَتْكَ مِنْهَا رَكْعَةٌ وَكَذَلِكَ سُنَّةُ الصَّلَاةِ كُلُّهَا

سعید بن مسیب نے کہا کہ وہ کون سی نماز ہے جس میں ہر رکعت کے بعد بیٹھنا پڑے پھر خود ہی کہا وہ نماز مغرب کی ہے جب ایک رکعت فوت ہوجائے امام کے ساتھ۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that Said ibn al-Musayyab said, "Which prayer is it when you remain in the sitting position in every raka? Said said, "It is maghrib when you miss one raka, and that is the sunna in all the prayers."

عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ يُصَلِّي وَهُوَ حَامِلٌ أُمَامَةَ بِنْتَ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلِأَبِي الْعَاصِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ فَإِذَا سَجَدَ وَضَعَهَا وَإِذَا قَامَ حَمَلَهَا

ابو قتادہ انصاری سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نماز پڑھتے تھے اپنی نواسی امامہ کو جو بیٹی زینب کی تھیں ابوالعاص سے اٹھاے ہوئے تو جب سجدہ کرتے آپ ﷺ بٹھا دیتے ان کو زمین پر جب کھڑے ہوتے اٹھا لیتے۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Amir ibn Abdullah ibn az-Zubayr from Amr ibn Sulaym az-Zuraqi from Abu Qutada al-Ansari that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to pray carrying Umama, who was the daughter of his daughter Zaynab by Abul As ibn Rabia ibn Abd Shams. When he prostrated, he put her down, and when he got up he carried her.

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يَتَعَاقَبُونَ فِيکُمْ مَلَائِکَةٌ بِاللَّيْلِ وَمَلَائِکَةٌ بِالنَّهَارِ وَيَجْتَمِعُونَ فِي صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ وَصَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ الَّذِينَ بَاتُوا فِيکُمْ فَيَسْأَلُهُمْ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِمْ کَيْفَ تَرَکْتُمْ عِبَادِي فَيَقُولُونَ تَرَکْنَاهُمْ وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ وَأَتَيْنَاهُمْ وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ

ابوہریرہ ؓ روایت ہے کہ فرمایا رسول اللہ ﷺ نے آتے جاتے رہتے ہیں فرشتے تمہارے پاس رات کے جدا ہونے کے وقت اور دن کے جدا ہونے کے وقت اور جمع ہوجاتے ہیں سب عصر کی اور فجر کی نماز میں پھر وہ فرشتے جو رات کو تمہارے ساتھ رہتے ہیں چڑھ جاتے ہیں اور پس پوچھتا ہے ان سے پروردگار ( حالانکہ وہ خوب جانتا ہے) کس حال میں چھوڑا تم نے میرے بندوں کو؟ کہتے ہیں ہم نے چھوڑا ان کو نماز میں، جب ہم گئے تھے جب بھی نماز پڑھتے تھے۔

Yahya related to me from Abuz-Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "A group of angels in the night and a group of angels in the day alternate with each other among you, and gather together at the time of the asr and fajr prayers. Then those that have spent the night among you ascend, and He asks them, and He knows best, How did you leave my slaves? and they say, When we left them they were praying, and when we came to them they were praying. "

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مُرُوا أَبَا بَکْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ لِلنَّاسِ فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ أَبَا بَکْرٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِذَا قَامَ فِي مَقَامِکَ لَمْ يُسْمِعْ النَّاسَ مِنْ الْبُکَائِ فَمُرْ عُمَرَ فَلْيُصَلِّ لِلنَّاسِ قَالَ مُرُوا أَبَا بَکْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ لِلنَّاسِ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَقُلْتُ لِحَفْصَةَ قُولِي لَهُ إِنَّ أَبَا بَکْرٍ إِذَا قَامَ فِي مَقَامِکَ لَمْ يُسْمِعْ النَّاسَ مِنْ الْبُکَائِ فَمُرْ عُمَرَ فَلْيُصَلِّ لِلنَّاسِ فَفَعَلَتْ حَفْصَةُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّکُنْ لَأَنْتُنَّ صَوَاحِبُ يُوسُفَ مُرُوا أَبَا بَکْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ لِلنَّاسِ فَقَالَتْ حَفْصَةُ لِعَائِشَةَ مَا کُنْتُ لِأُصِيبَ مِنْکِ خَيْرًا

حضرت ام المومنین عائشہ ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے حکم کیا مرض موت میں ابوبکر کو نماز پڑھانے کا تو کہا میں نے یا رسول اللہ ﷺ ابوبکر جب آپ ﷺ کی جگہ پر کھڑے ہوں گے تو روتے روتے ان کی آواز نہ نکلے گی تو حکم کیجئے عمر کو نماز پڑھانے کا میں نے حفصہ سے کہا تم کہو آپ ﷺ سے ابوبکر جب آپ ﷺ کی جگہ میں کھڑے ہوں گے تو روتے روتے ان کی آواز نہ نکلے گی پس حکم کیجئے عمر کو نماز پڑھانے کا سو کہا حضرت نے تب فرمایا رسول اللہ ﷺ نے تم یوسف کی ساتھی عورتوں کی طرح ہو کہو ابوبکر سے نماز پڑھانے کو پس کہا حفصہ نے عائشہ سے تم سے مجھے بھلائی نہ ہوئی۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father from Aisha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Tell Abu Bakr (RA) to lead the people in prayer." Aisha said, "Messenger of Allah, when Abu Bakr (RA) stands in your place his voice does not reach the ears of the people because of his weeping, so tell Umar to lead the people in prayer." He said, "Tell Abu Bakr (RA) to lead the people in prayer." Aisha continued, "I told Hafsa to tell him that when Abu Bakr (RA) stood in his place his voice did not reach the ears of the people because of his weeping, and that he should tell Umar to lead the people in prayer. Hafsa did so, and the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, You are the companions of Yusuf! (referring to the women who cut their hands when they saw the beauty of Yusuf). Tell Abu Bakr (RA) to lead the people in prayer! " Aisha added that Hafsa said to her, "I have never had anything good from you!"

عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ الْخِيَارِ أَنَّهُ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسٌ بَيْنَ ظَهْرَانَيْ النَّاسِ إِذْ جَائَهُ رَجُلٌ فَسَارَّهُ فَلَمْ يُدْرَ مَا سَارَّهُ بِهِ حَتَّی جَهَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِذَا هُوَ يَسْتَأْذِنُهُ فِي قَتْلِ رَجُلٍ مِنْ الْمُنَافِقِينَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ جَهَرَ أَلَيْسَ يَشْهَدُ أَنَّ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ بَلَی وَلَا شَهَادَةَ لَهُ فَقَالَ أَلَيْسَ يُصَلِّي قَالَ بَلَی وَلَا صَلَاةَ لَهُ فَقَالَ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُولَئِکَ الَّذِينَ نَهَانِي اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ

عبیداللہ بن عدی سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ بیٹھے ہوئے تھے لوگوں میں، اتنے میں ایک شخص آیا اور کان میں کچھ بات آپ ﷺ کے کہنے لگا ہم کو خبر نہیں ہوئی کیا کہتا ہے یہاں تک کہ آپ ﷺ پکار کر بول اٹھے تب معلوم ہوا وہ شخص حضرت سے ایک منافق کے قتل کی اجازت چاہتا تھا تو جب پکار اٹھے رسول اللہ ﷺ تو فرمایا کیا وہ شخص گواہی نہیں دیتا اس امر کی کہ کوئی معبود حق نہیں ہے سوا اللہ کے اور محمد ﷺ بیشک اس کے رسول ہیں اس شخص نے کہا ہاں مگر اس کی گواہی کا کچھ اعتبار نہیں تب فرمایا آپ ﷺ نے کیا وہ نماز نہیں پڑھتا بولا ہاں پڑھتا ہے لیکن اس کی نماز کا کچھ اعتبار نہیں ہے فرمایا رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ایسے لوگوں کے قتل سے منع کیا ہے مجھ کو اللہ نے۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Ata ibn Yazid al-Laythi that Ubaydullah ibn Adi ibnal-Khiyar said, "Once when the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was sitting with some people, a man came to him and spoke secretly to him. Nobody knew what he had said until the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, disclosed that he had asked for permission to kill one of the hypocrites. When he disclosed this, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, Doesnt he testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah? ﷺ The man replied, Of course, but he hasnt really done so. He said, Doesnt he do the prayer? and the man replied, Of course, but he doesnt really do the prayer. He said, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, Those are the ones whom Allah has forbidden me (to kill). "

عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَجْعَلْ قَبْرِي وَثَنًا يُعْبَدُ اشْتَدَّ غَضَبُ اللَّهِ عَلَى قَوْمٍ اتَّخَذُوا قُبُورَ أَنْبِيَائِهِمْ مَسَاجِدَ

عطاء بن یسار سے روایت ہے کہ فرمایا رسول اللہ ﷺ نے اے پروردگار مت بنا قبر میری کو بت، کہ لوگ اس کو پوجیں بہت بڑا غضب اللہ کا ان لوگوں پر ہے جہنوں نے اپنے پیغمبروں کی قبروں کو مسجد بنا لیا۔

Yahya related to me from Malik from Zayd ibn Aslam from Ata ibn Yasar that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "O Allah! Do not make my grave an idol that is worshipped. The anger on those who took the graves of their Prophets as places of prostration was terrible."
