Send abundant blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ

نبی کریم ﷺ پر کثرت سے درود بھیجیں4 duas

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَلٰی آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Allāhumma ṣalli 'alā muḥammadin wa 'alā āli muḥammadin

O Allah! bestow mercy upon Muhammadۖand the descendants of Muhammadۖ.

اے اللہ ! محمدؐ اور آل محمدؐ پر رحمت نازل فرما

(سنن النسائی، کتاب السھو، باب نوع آخر :1293 ) حسن

Background & narration

Fudala ibn Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One day, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was sitting among us when a man entered the mosque, prayed, and then began to supplicate, saying: "O Allah! Forgive me, and have mercy on me." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "O worshiper! You have hastened (in making supplication). When you finish your prayer and sit for supplication, first praise Allah in a manner befitting Him, then send blessings upon me, and then make supplication for yourself." Fudala ibn Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) said that another man prayed, praised Allah, and sent blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon him), and then the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "O worshiper! Pray, and your supplication will be answered." Sunan At-Tirmidhi: 3476

فَضَالہ بن عُبَیْدرضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ(ایک روز) رسول اللہ ﷺ ہمارے درمیان تشریف فرما تھے کہ ایک آدمی (مسجد میں) داخل ہوا ، نماز پڑھی اور دعا مانگنے لگا۔ اے اللہ ! مجھے معاف فرما ، مجھ پر رحم کر۔رسول اللہﷺنے فرمایا : ''اے نمازی !تو نے (دعا مانگنے میں ) جلدی کی۔ جب نماز پڑھ لو اور دعا کے لیے بیٹھو تو اللہ کے شایانِ شان حمد و ثنا کرو پھر مجھ پر درود بھیجو پھر اپنے لیے دعا کرو''۔ فضالہ بن عبیدرضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک دوسرے آدمی نے نماز پڑھی اور (اس کے بعد) اللہ کی حمد و ثنا کی، نبی کریم ﷺپر درود بھیجا تونبی کریمﷺ نے فرمایا:''اے نمازی! دعا کر تیری دعا قبول کی جائے گی''۔]سنن الترمذی:3476[

اَللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِیِّ الْاُمِّیِّ وَعَلٰی آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

Allāhumma ṣalli 'alā muḥammadin an-nabīyi al-ummīyi wa 'alā āli muḥammadin

O Allah! Bestow Mercy upon Muhammadۖ, the unlettered messenger and upon the family of Muhammadۖ .

اے اللہ ! نبی اُمی محمد ؐ اور آلِ محمد ؐ پر رحمت نازل فرما

(سنن أبی داؤد، کتاب الصلاة، باب الصلاة علی النبیۖ بعد التشھد :981 ) صحیح

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَزْوَاجِهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَزْوَاجِهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ

O Allah, bestow favour upon Muhammad and his wives and his children as you have bestowed favour upon the family of Ibrahim. And bless Muhammad and his wives and his children as you have blessed the family of Ibrahim, you are Praiseworthy, most Glorious.

اے اللہ! محمد (ﷺ) اور آپ کی ازواج اوراولاد پر اپنی رحمت نازل فرما جیسے تو نے آل ابراہیم پررحمت نازل فرمائی اور محمد (ﷺ) اور آپ کی ازواج اوراولاد پر اپنی برکت نازل فرما جیسے تو نے آل ابراہیم پر برکت نازل فرمائی تھی بلاشبہ تو تعریف کیا ہوا اور عظمت والا ہے

اَللّٰهُمّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّد وَّ عَلٰی آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّیْتَ عَلٰی اِبْرَاهِیْمَ وَعَلٰی آلِ اِبْرَاهِیْمَ اِنَّكَ حَمِیْدٌ مَّجِیْد، اَللّٰهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّ عَلٰی آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلٰی اِبْرَاهِیْمَ وَعَلٰی آلِ اِبْرَاهِیْمَ اِنَّكَ حَمِیْدٌ مَّجِیْد

Allāhumma ṣalli 'alā muḥammadin wa 'alā āli muḥammadin kamā ṣallayta 'alā ibraheema wa 'alā āli ibraheema innaka ḥamīdun majīd, Allāhumma bārik 'alā muḥammadin wa 'alā āli muḥammadin kamā bārakta 'alā ibraheema wa 'alā āli ibraheema innaka ḥamīdun majīd

O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammadۖ and the followers of Muhammadۖ, just as You sent prayers upon Ibrahim(A.S) and upon the followers of Ibrahim(A.S). Verily, You are full of praise and majesty. O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammadۖ and upon the family of Muhammadۖ, just as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim(A.S) and upon the family of Ibrahim(A.S). Verily, You are the Most Praise worthy, the Most Glorious.

اے اللہ ! محمد ۖ اور آلِ محمد ۖ پر ا سی طرح رحمت نازل فرما جس طرح تو نے ابراہیم اور آلِ ابراہیم پر رحمت نازل فرمائی ، بے شک تو ہی تعریف اور بزرگی والا ہے ، اے اللہ ! محمدۖ او ر آلِ محمدۖ پر ا سی طرح برکت نازل فرما جس طرح تو نے ابراہیم اور آلِ ابراہیم پر برکت نازل فرمائی ، بے شک توہی تعریف اور بزرگی والا ہے

Background & narration

Tufail bin Abi bin Ka'b narrated from his father, Ubayy رضي الله عنه, who said: I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, I send many prayers upon you, so how much of my supplication should I dedicate to sending blessings upon you?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "As much as you like." I asked, "A quarter of my time?" He said, "As much as you like, but if you do more, it will be better for you." I asked, "Half of my time?" He replied, "As much as you like, but if you do more, it will be better for you." I asked, "Two-thirds?" He said, "As much as you like, but if you do more, it will be better for you." I then said, "I will dedicate all of my supplication time to sending blessings upon you." The Prophet ﷺ responded, "Then that will be sufficient for all your worries and your sins will be forgiven." ]Sunan al-Tirmidhi: 2457[.

طفیل بن ابی بن کعب aاپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں ...اُبی tکہتے ہیں کہ میں نے کہا:اے اللہ کے رسول ! میں آپ پر کثرت سے درود بھیجتا ہوں، اپنی دعا میں کتنا وقت درود کے لیے وقف کروں؟ آپ نے فرمایا:''جتنا تو چاہے'' ۔میں نے کہا:ایک چوتھائی ؟آپ نے فرمایا: ''جتنا تو چاہے لیکن اس سے زیادہ کرے تو تیرے لیے اچھا ہے ''۔میں نے کہا: نصف وقت ؟ آپ نے فرمایا:''جتنا تو چاہے لیکن اگر اس سے زیادہ کرے تو تیرے لیے اچھا ہے''۔میں نے کہا: دو تہائی ؟آپ نے فرمایا:''جتناتو چاہے لیکن اگر زیادہ کرے تو تیرے ہی لیے اچھا ہے ''۔ میں نے کہا :میںاپنی ساری دعا کا وقت درود کے لیے وقف کرتا ہوں۔آپ نے فرمایا : ''یہ تیرے سارے دکھوں اور غموں کے لیے کافی رہے گا اور تیرے گناہوں کوبخش دیا جائے گا''۔ ] سنن الترمذی: 2457[
