اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَالْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَالْهَرَمِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ اَللّٰهُمَّ آتِ نَفْسِي تَقْوَاهَا وَزَكِّهَا أَنْتَ خَيْرُ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا أَنْتَ وَلِيُّهَا وَمَوْلاَهَا اَللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ لاَ يَنْفَعُ وَمِنْ قَلْبٍ لاَ يَخْشَعُ وَمِنْ نَفْسٍ لاَ تَشْبَعُ وَمِنْ دَعْوَةٍ لاَ يُسْتَجَابُ لَهَا
O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from incapacity, from sloth, from cowardice, from miserliness, decrepitude and from torment of the grave. O Allah, grant to my soul the sense of righteousness and purify it, for Thou art the Best Purifier thereof. Thou art the Protecting Friend thereof, and Guardian thereof. O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from the knowledge which does not benefit, from the heart that does not entertain the fear (of Allah), from the soul that does not feel contented and the supplication that is not responded.
اے اللہ! بے بسی سے اور کاہلی سے اور بزدلی اور بخیلی اور ذلت ٓمیز بڑھاپے اور قبر کے عذاب سے میں تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں اے اللہ! تو میرے نفس کو پرہیزگاری عطا فرما اور اس کو پاک کر، تو سب سے اچھا پاک صاف کرنے والا ہے، تو ہی اس نفس کا مولا اور ٓقا ہے اے اللہ! میں ایسے دل سے جو نہ ڈرے اور ایسے نفس سے جو ٓسودہ نہ ہو اور ایسے علم سے جو نفع نہ دے اور ایسی دعا سے جو قبول نہ ہو، ان سب سے تیری پناہ چاہتا ہوں

Background & narration
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said, ‘Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, will say on the Day of Resurrection, ‘O son of Adam, I was ill and you did not visit Me.’ The man will say, ‘O Lord, how could I visit You when You are the Lord of the worlds?’ He will say, ‘Do you not know that My slave so-and-so was ill and you did not visit him? Do you not know that if you had visited him, you would have found Me with him?’ Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim: 6556
رسول الله صلی الله علیهوسلم نے فرمایا: قیامت کےدن الله تعالیٰ فرمائے گا۔ اےابن آدم! میں بیمار ہوا تو تُونے میری عیادت کیوں نهکی؟ وه کہے گا اے میرےرب! میں تیری عیادت کیسےکرتا تُو تو رب العالمین ہے؟الله تعالیٰ فرمائے گا: کیاتجھے علم نه تھا که میرافلاں بنده بیمار ہے؟ لیکن تونے اس کی عیادت نہیںکی۔ کیا تجھے علم نہیں تھاکه اگر تو اس مریض کیعیادت کرتا تو مجھے اسکے پاس پاتا۔ (صحیح مسلم: 6556)
