اَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّیْطٰنِ الرَّجِیْمِ
A‘ūdhubillāhi minash Shaiṭānir Rajīmi.
If experiencing evil whisperings and distractions during Ṣalah or recitation of the Qur’ān, seek refuge in Allah (s.w.t) from Satan by saying: 'I seek refuge in Allah from Satan the accursed.' and spit towards your left three times.
نماز اور قراءت کے دوران وسوسے کی صورت میں اَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّیْطٰنِ الرَّجِیْمِ پڑھ کر بائیں طرف تین دفعہ تھتکاریں

Background & narration
‘Uthmān bin Abū al-‘Ās (r.a) came to Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) and said, ‘O Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w), the Satan intervenes between me and my prayer and my reciting of the Qur’ān and he confounds me.’ Thereupon Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) said, ‘That is (the doing of Satan) who is known as Khinzab, and when you perceive his affect, seek refuge with Allah (s.w.t) from him (‘Audhubillahi minash Shaitān…) and spit three times to your left.‘Uthman (r.a) said,‘I did that and Allah (s.w.t) dispelled Satan from me.’ [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim: 5738]
حضرت عثمان بن ابو عاص رضی الله عنه نبی کریم صلی الله علیه وسلم کے پاس آئے اور کہا:٠ یا رسول الله صلی الله علیه وسلم! شیطان میرے اور میری نماز کے درمیان حائل ہوتا ہے نیز میری قراءت میں شک ڈالتا ہے۔ رسول الله صلی الله علیه وسلم نے فرمایا:٠ اس شیطان کا نام ِخنزَب ہے جب اس کی اکساہٹ محسوس کرو تو (دوران نماز ہی) تعوذ (اَعُوْذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ...) پڑھو اور بائیں طرف تین مرتبه تھتکارو۔ حضرت عثمان رضی الله عنه فرماتے ہیں میں نے ایسا ہی کیا اور الله تعالیٰ نے شیطان کومجھ سے دور کردیا۔ (صحیح مسلم : 5738)
