اَصْبَحْنَا وَ اَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ ِللهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ ِللهِ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِیْكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَ هُوَ عَلٰی كُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرٌ، رَبِّ اَسْاَلُكَ خَیْرَ مَا فِیْ هٰذَا الْیَوْمِ وَ خَیْرَ مَا بَعْدَهُ وَ اَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِیْ هٰذَا الْیَوْمِ وَ شَرِّ مَا بَعْدَهُ، رَبِّ اَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنَ الْكَسَلِ وَ سُوْءِ الْكِبَرِ رَبِّ اَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ فِی النَّارِ وَ عَذَابٍ فِی الْقَبْرِ
Aṣbaḥnā wa aṣbaḥal mulku lillāhi wal ḥamdu lillāhi, lā ilāha illallāhu, waḥdahū lā sharīka lahū, lahul mulku wa lahul ḥamdu wa huwa ‘alā kulli shai’in qadīrun, rabbi as’aluka khaira mā fī hādhal yawmi, wa khaira mā ba‘dahū, wa a‘ūdhubika min sharri mā fī hādhal yawmi wa sharri mā ba‘dahū, rabbi a‘ūdhubika minal kasali wa sū’il kibari, rabbi a‘ūdhubika min ‘adhābin fin nāri wa ‘adhābin fil qabri. (Once in the morning)
We and the entire dominion have entered a new morning for Allah, and all praise is due to Allah, there is no true deity except Allah, the One, Who has no partner with Him. His is the Sovereignty and all Praise is due to Him and He has power over all things. My Lord, I ask you for the good of this day and the good that follows it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this day and the evil that follows it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness, and from the helplessness of old age. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the hellfire and the punishment in the grave. (Once in the morning)
ہم نے صبح کی اور تمام عالم نے صبح کی الله کے لیے اور تمام تعریفیں الله کے لیے ہیں، الله کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں، وه اکیلا ہے اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں، اسی کے لیے بادشاہی ہے اور اسی کے لیے تمام تعریفیں ہیں اور وه ہر چیز پر قادر ہے، اے میرے رب! میں تجھ سے آج کے دن کی اور جو اس کے بعد ہے اس کی بھلائی مانگتا ہوں اور میں تیری پناه چاہتا ہوں آج کے دن اور جو اس کے بعد ہے اس کی برائی سے، اے میرے رب! میں تیری پناه چاہتا ہوں سستی اور بدترین بڑھاپے سے، اے میرے رب! میں تیری پناه چاہتا ہوں آگ کے عذاب سے اور قبر کے عذاب سے (ایک بار)

Background & narration
‘Abdullāh bin Mas‘ūd (r.a) reported, in the evening the Prophet (s.a.w) would supplicate, We and the entire dominion have entered a new evening for Allah, and all praise is due to Allah, there is no true deity except Allah, the One, Who has no partner with Him. ‘Abdullāh (r.a) says that I think that the Prophet (s.a.w) also said the following with these words: His is the Sovereignty and all Praise is due to Him and He has power over all things. My Lord, I ask you for the good of this night and the good that follows it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this night and the evil that follows it. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from laziness, and from the helplessness of old age. My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the hellfire and the punishment in the grave. And likewise in the morning he would say: We and the entire dominion have entered a new morning for Allah, and all praise is due to Allah, there is no true deity except Allah, the One, Who has no partner with Him. حضرت عبد الله رضی الله عنه سے روایت ہے جب الله کے نبی کریم صلی الله علیه وسلم شام کرتے تو فرماتے: اَمْسَیْنَا وَ اَمْسَی الْمُلْکُ لِلهِ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ لَا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِیْکَ لَهُ راوی کہتے ہیں میرا خیال ہے آپ صلی الله علیه وسلم نے ان کلمات میں یہ بھی فرمایا: لَهُ الْمُلْکُ وَ لَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَ ھُوَ عَلٰی کُلِّ شَیْءٍ قَدِیْرٌ رَبِّ اَسْاَلُکَ خَیْرَ مَا فِیْ ھٰذِهِ اللَّیْلَةِ وَ خَیْرَ مَا بَعْدَھَا وَ اَعُوْذُبِکَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا فِیْ ھٰذِهِ اللَّیْلَةِ وَ شَرِّ مَا بَعْدَھَا رَبِّ اَعُوْذُبِکَ مِنَ الْکَسَلِ وَ سُوْءِ الْکِبَرِ رَبِّ اَعُوْذُبِکَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ فِی النَّارِ وَعَذَابٍ فِی الْقَبْرِ۔ ہم نے شام کی اور تمام عالم نے شام کی الله کے لیے اور تمام تعریفیں الله کے لیے ہیں، الله کے سواکوئی معبود برحق نہیں، وہ اکیلا ہے اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں، اسی کے لیے بادشاہی ہے اور اسی کے لیے تمام تعریفیں ہیں اور وه ہر چیز پرقادر ہے، اے میرے رب! میں تجھ سے آج کی رات کی اور جو اس کے بعد ہے اس کی بھلائی مانگتا ہوں اور میں تیری پناه چاہتا ہوں آج کی رات اور جو اسکے بعد ہے اس کی برائی سے، اے میرے رب! میں تیری پناه چاہتا ہوں سستی اور بدترین بڑھاپے سے، اے میرے رب! میں تیری پناه چاہتا ہوں آگ کے عذاب سے اور قبر کے عذاب سے۔(شام ایک بار) اور جب صبح کرتے تو اس طرح فرماتے: اَصْبَحْنَا وَ اَصْبَحَ الْمُلْکُ لِلهِ... ہم نے صبح کی اور تمام عالم نے صبح کی الله کے لیے اور تمام تعریفیں الله کے لیے ہیں، الله کے سوا کوئی معبود برحق نہیں، وه اکیلا ہے اس کا کوئی شریک نہیں، اسی کے لیے بادشاہی ہے اور اسی کے لیے تمام تعریفیں ہیں اور وه ہر چیز پر قادر ہے، اے میرے رب! میں تجھ سے آج کے دن کی اور جو اس کے بعد ہے اس کی بھلائی مانگتا ہوں اور میں تیری پناه چاہتا ہوں آج کے دن اور جو اس کے بعد ہے اس کی برائی سے، اے میرے رب! میں تیری پناه چاہتا ہوں سستی اور بدترین بڑھاپے سے، اے میرے رب! میں تیری پناه چاہتا ہوں آگ کے عذاب سے اور قبر کے عذاب سے۔ (صبح ایک بار) (صحیح مسلم: 6908)
