اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ بِقُوَّتِهِ وَمَيَّزَ بَيْنَهُمَا بِقُدْرَتِهِ وَجَعَلَ لِكُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا حَدًّا مَحْدُودًا، وَاَمَدًا مَمْدُودًا وَنَفْعًا مَعْلُوْمًا...اَللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ رَبِّي الْغَنِيُّ وَاَنَا عَبْدُكَ الْفَقِيْرُ، وَعَذَابِي لَا يَزِيْدُ فِي مُلْكِكَ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ، اَنْتَ ذُو الْمُلْكِ وَالْمَلَكُوْتِ، وَذُو الْعِزَّةِ وَالْجَبَرُوْتِ، وَذُو الْجَلَالِ وَالْاِكْرَامِ، لَا يَزِيْدُ فِي مُلْكِكَ طَاعَةُ الطَّائِعِيْنَ، وَلَا تَنْقُصُهُ مَعْصِيَةُ الْعَاصِيْنَ، فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
Al-ḥamdu lillāhi alladhī khalaqa al-layla wal-nahāra bi-quwwatih, wa mayyaza baynahumā bi-qudratih, wa ja‘ala likulli wāḥidin minhumā ḥaddan maḥdūdan, wa amadan mamdūdan, wa naf‘an ma‘lūman… Allāhumma anta rabbī al-ghaniyyu wa anā ‘abduka al-faqīr, wa ‘adhābī lā yazīdu fī mulkika mithqāla dharrah, anta dhū al-mulki wal-malakūt, wa dhū al-‘izzati wal-jabarūt, wa dhū al-jalāli wal-ikrām, lā yazīdu fī mulkika ṭā‘atu al-ṭā‘iīn, wa lā tanquṣuhu ma‘ṣiyatu al-‘āṣīn, faghfir lanā warḥamnā biraḥmatika yā arḥama al-rāḥimīn.
All praise is for Allah, Who created the night and the day by His power, distinguished between them by His might, and made for each of them a set limit, an extended term, and a known benefit… O Allah, You are my Lord, the Self-Sufficient, and I am Your servant, the needy. My punishment does not increase Your dominion in the least. You are the Possessor of sovereignty and dominion, the Possessor of might and absolute power, the Possessor of majesty and honor. The obedience of the obedient does not increase Your dominion, and the disobedience of the disobedient does not diminish it. So forgive us and have mercy on us by Your mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.
سب تعریفیں اللہ ہی کے لیے ہیں جس نے اپنی قوت سے رات اور دن کو پیدا کیااور اپنی قدرت سے ان دونوں کے درمیان فرق رکھا اور ان دونوں میں سے ہر ایک کے لیےایک معینہ مدت مقرر فرمائی اور ان دونوں میں معلوم فائدے رکھ دیئے ۔اے اللہ! تو میرا بے نیازرب ہے ، اور میں تیرا محتاج بندہ ہوں، اورمیرا عذاب میں مبتلا ہوناتیری بادشاہت میں رتی بر ابر بھی اضافہ نہیں کرتااور توہی بڑی بادشاہی اور سلطنت کا مالک ہے، عزت اور غلبے والا ہےاور جلال اور کرم والا ہے،تیری بادشاہی میں اطاعت گزاروں کی اطاعت سے کچھ اضافہ نہیں ہوتا اور نافرمانوں کی نافرمانی سے کوئی کمی نہیں ہوتی،پس اے اللہ! ہمیں بخشش دے اور اپنی رحمت سے ہم پررحم فرما، اے سب رحم کرنے والوں سے بڑھ کر رحم کرنے والے!
